SENIOR COACH
DIEGO
Diego is a junior development coach with 10 years of coaching experience and almost 20 years experience as a player. Outside of the tennis court, he is a management consultant with a computer science degree from the University of Melbourne.
Diego started his tennis journey when he was 6 years old at the local club in Melbourne. At the age of 12, he joined a high performance academy in Chile where he was able to train with the top kids in the country.
Once Diego moved to Perth, he continued his tennis journey playing for school and training with Coach William, Nubia and Aura. In addition to school tennis, Diego played tournaments, even winning some mixed doubles trophies with Aura. During his final years in high school, Diego stepped up from player to Assistant Coach with ABC Tennis.
Over the years, he has played different pennant leagues and divisions, always representing Higgins.
